When running the sample showbrow.asp script I've noticed it can take a secord or two to complete the detection. Can this be optimized?

Yes. Our showbrow.asp demonstration script is designed to test for all plug-ins that BrowserHawk detects, as well as 100+ other settings, and therefore can take a couple of seconds to execute.
In the real-world you are likely to only be interested in a few plug-ins in particular. In this case you simply ask BrowserHawk to check for only those properties you are interested in. Doing so will result in a optimized test which executes extremely fast.
Also note that you should code your pages so that you only check for these properties once per user session and not on every page request.
