I am trying to detect Flash and other plug-ins on Mac using IE 4.5 but BrowserHawk is not detecting them even when installed. The detection works great with IE 5.

Unfortunately plug-in detection is not possible on the Mac for IE versions 4.x and lower. This is why BH detects plug-ins for IE 5 but not IE 4. This is a limitation of the older IE browsers.
