One of the requirements for the site I am working on is that it not use cookies. I would like to use BrowserHawk to detect certain extended properties. But this appears to use a temporary cookie to store the results of the test. Is there any way to turn that off?

Detecting extended properties requires a two-phase test. To communicate the results of the test between these two phases, a temporary (session) cookie is used by default.
However, BrowserHawk provides the flexibility to allow you to turn off that behavior and instead have it use the query string or hidden form field values (via POST) to communicate this information.
See the discussion of the various requestType options available in the topic Detecting Extended Properties for more information.
